Arranged in a series of themed areas unfolding downhill from the Natural History Museum, the Botanical Garden contains more than 4500 plant species and is perfect for a peaceful stroll. Gardens include the Scandinavian Ridge, a rocky area with a tumbling waterfall and a variety of mountainous flora; the Viking Garden, with its sculptural, sunken longboat featuring plants useful to the Vikings, such as hemp; and the steamy Palm House, which transports you to the tropics whatever the weather outside.
