No prizes for guessing what this commercial art gallery used to be. These days, it's the UK's biggest contemporary art, craft and design gallery/shop, where you can browse and/or buy works by more than 200 artists each season in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, glassware and furniture, many with a northeast theme. There's an on-site cafe, the Factory Kitchen, and fine-dining restaurant, Artisan.
