This lovely beach at the southwest corner of the island is even lovelier at low tide, when the water recedes to reveal a huge plateau of sand stretching to the horizon. Sunsets in summer are truly glorious (and snorkelling is good too, when the water's in), and the lack of tourist infrastructure means there's something of a castaway feel.
