The home and namesake museum of Antonio Blanco (1912–99) captures this artist’s theatrical spirit. Sometimes called the 'Dali of Bali', Blanco came to Ubud from Spain via the Philippines and revelled in his reputation for eccentricity. The expressionist art and illustrated poetry in his collection incorporates a mix of styles and mediums and is more notable for its gaudily grandiose surrounds than its quality.
