Allegany Museum

Set in the old courthouse, this is an intriguing place to delve into Cumberland's past, with exhibits by local folk artist and woodcarver Claude Yoder; an old moonshine still; 1920s firefighting gear; a c 1880 photograph of downtown; and beautifully garbed mechanized puppets and other curiosities.
