A full day guided journey of Inle Lake and all of its charm await you today as you board your boat and cruise along the lake. You will have your own personal guide with you who will provide insight and history on the different villages and people who call the lake home. Hills surround the lake on all sides, as the lake's shore and islands host various villages on stilts.On your journey you will witness local fisherman and their one of a kind skill used to glide across the lake. The unique technique of leg rowing where one leg is wrapped around the paddle to cut through the water and propel their vessel across the lake.You will have a chance to visit the floating gardens, a teeming market and an Intha village around the lake. The day also includes a visit to the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, Inn Paw Khon Village and the Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery. After morning pickup from your Inle Lake hotel, transfer to your boat.As you cruise around the lake to meet local Intha people, your guide shares informative commentary about the history and culture of the region. Visit a farm constructed on an island that floats on the lake and meet the farmer. Learn about the Intha technique for leg-rowing and daily life on the lake, then stop at a local village to see the homes that perch on wooden stilts in the water.Spend time with a local family in their home to experience their culture and customs. Try some local cuisine as you chat with the family members and your guide assists with translation. After your time with the family, return by boat to your starting point where your tour ends with hotel drop-off.
Day 1: Yangon full day tourMeet a driver upon arrival in Yangon. If time allows, short circular train ride to Yangon Central Railway Station, visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, walking tour around Yangon's colonial-era buildings, afternoon visit to Bogyoke Market, Kandawgyi Park, sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda.
Day 2 Full day tour around Ancient Bagan (B)
Meet a driver at your hotel, and transfer to the airport for an early morning flight to Bagan. Visit Nyaung U Local Market, Shwezigon Pagoda, Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi , Htilominlo Temple, and Tharaba Gate by horse cart tour. After afternoon check-in and a rest, continue to Ananda, Ananda Okkyaung, Thatbyinnyu Temple, Shwe Gu Gyi Temple, Gawdawpalin Temple, and Dhammayangyi Temple, catching sunset from a temple.
Day 3: Excursion to Mt.Popa (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, visit to Toddy plam, jaggery making. Continue to Popa Taung Kalat, an extinct Volcano over 1500 meters high summit, about 48 km south east of Bagan. After the visit, leisure at the the hotel and take a sunset river cruise in the Ayeyarwaddy river.
Day 4: Sagaing - Mingun boat trip (B) After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for a flight to Mandalay. Continue to Sagaing Hill, Soon U Pon Nya Shin and U Min Thonesal Pagoda. Evening boat trip to Mingun, the unfinished Mingun Pahtodawgyi, Mingun Bell, and Myatheindan.
Day 5: Amarapura and Mandalay city tour (B) After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Maha Gandayone Monastery, the teak U Bein bridge, and Mahamuni Pagoda. In the afternoon, visit to Yadanarbon Market, the Shwenandaw Monastery, Atumashi Monastery, and Kuthodaw Pagoda, catching panoramic views of Mandalay from Mandalay Hill.
Day 6: Shan State Wineries (B)
This morning flight to Heho airport. Visit to Aye Thar Yar Vineyard near Taungyyi and next to Inle Heritage by boat, In the Evening visit to Red Mountain Winery, enjoy scenic view to Inle Lake and beautiful sunset.
Day 7: Inle Lake (B) Take a full day tour of Inle Lake by private boat, taking in villages, the unique leg-rowing style of local fishermen, and floating gardens. The tour also includes visits to the silver smith factory, the silk weaving village, the Cheroot making factory, the boat making workshop, and the jumping cat monastery, as well as Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and Shwe Inn Dein Pagoda.
Day 8: Inle Lake – Yangon (B) In the morning, transfer to Heho airport for a flight to Yangon. On arrival, transfer to hotel, free at Leisure at the evening.
