I am a location-independent travel writer who has contributed to over 30 publications including BBC Travel, Condé Nast Traveler, WIRED, and Afar. I run the travel site DiscoverySessions.com, have taught more than 1,500 aspiring travel journalists via my online courses, and I’ve appeared as an expert on the likes of ABC News, NBC News, South China Morning Post, and Business Insider. As an avid sun-seeker, my favorite destinations include the beaches of Panama, Maldives, Mexico, Brazil, and Spain. One of my most memorable assignments was getting to travel by buggy, helicopter, and even school bus-turned-ferry in the Northeast of Brazil for Lonely Planet.
