I’m a Canadian travel writer, global road warrior and snack enthusiast with a passion for writing stories about food, adventure, conservation and off-the-beaten-track destinations. I’ve been researching and writing travel guides professionally since moving from my hometown, Toronto, to Laos in 2011. As a Laos and Vietnam expert, I cover both countries extensively.
In the past decade, I’ve also been fortunate to call Mexico, the Caribbean and Montana home. My most recent adventures? Driving a tuk-tuk across Sri Lanka; trekking to observe gorillas, chimpanzees and Colobus monkeys in Rwanda; and on a reserve in South Africa, assisting veterinarians in chasing and capturing giraffes, African buffalo and other wildlife on horseback.
