About Cassandra
Though I've been based in New York City for 20 years, I sometimes feel like I'm never home. Being a travel writer is such a joy and privilege and I love most when my writing can highlight sustainable, accessible and ethical travel. My favorite destinations (so far) are Slovenia, Scotland and Portugal because they are so stunning and outdoorsy. I've spent quite a bit of time in Latin America and wrote a cycling guidebook called Cuba by Bike. When I'm not on my bike, I'm usually in hiking boots, hopefully somewhere near mountains and oceans.
