This stellar state park features some 14 miles of trails that wind around Arkansas' highest point. The surrounding vistas are spectacular, taking in all of the forested montane beauty of the Arkansas River Valley. If you don't have time to stop, the Mt Magazine Scenic Byway traverses the park and includes some drop-dead gorgeous views. If you need food or gas, the closest town is Paris, about 17 miles away.
