Harmony Borax Works in Death Valley.

Just north of Furnace Creek, a 0.5-mile interpretive trail follows in the footsteps of late-19th-century Chinese laborers and through the adobe ruins of Harmony Borax Works, which operated from 1883 until 1888. It was from here that Twenty Mule Team wagons kicked off their 165-mile slog to the nearest train station in Mojave.
