Paisley Museum

Greater Glasgow

At the western end of High St, worthwhile Paisley Museum is housed in an elegant Victorian Grecian edifice and has a decent collection of 19th-century Scottish art as well as a bit of everything else, from dinosaur footprints to a stuffed terrier, and plenty of information on the town's textile history and the famous Paisley pattern's origins in ancient Mesopotamia.
