Lochranza Castle

Photogenic 13th-century Lochranza Castle is said to have been the inspiration for the castle in The Black Island, Hergé’s Tintin adventure. Standing on a promontory, it’s now basically a draughty shell inside, with interpretative signs to help you decipher the layout.
