British War Cemetery

Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas)

The immaculate British War Cemetery is close to the edge of San Carlos Water. A total of 252 British servicemen died during the Falklands conflict; the cemetery has just 14 graves from the war. Some casualties remained in their sunken ships, but most were returned to Britain, where combatants are commemorated at the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel in Pangbourne, Berkshire.
