Packed with local purveyors, Yomitan Farmers Market Yunta Ichiba is an opportunity to appreciate Ryūkyūan food culture. The market opened only recently, in 2011, but it already functions as a community – indeed the word yunta in its name is a reference to the yuntaku (chitchat) that takes place between purveyors and buyers.
