The Workhorse Bronze Foundry, based in a former factory in the gritty centre of downtown Jo'burg, is where many of South Africa's top sculptors create their work. Workhorse also serves as a sculpture gallery and studio for artist and foundry owner Louis Olivier. Studio manager Rina Noto conducts fantastic tours (strictly by appointment), explaining the bronze casting process as onlookers actually watch sculptures being made.
