Wings of Tatev Aerial Tramway

The world's longest nonstop reversible cable car floats from Halidzor over the gaping Vorotan River Gorge to the Tatev Monastery. The 5.7km trip (12 minutes each way) soars over breathtaking scenery, but the price seems exorbitant (Armenians pay less, AMD500). The station at the top is sparkling new and features a good restaurant with a great view (mains from AMD1600).

Cars leave every 15 minutes and each car has a capacity of 30 people.
