The hilltop Will Rogers Memorial Museum, 30 miles northeast of Tulsa off Route 66, is an engaging tribute to a hugely popular local entertainer from the 1920s and 1930s. Rogers was part Cherokee, and good for quotes like: 'My ancestors didn't come over on the Mayflower, but they were there to meet the boat.'
