Wat Khao Hua Jook

This golden pagoda – gloriously illuminated at night – sits on top of the hill north of Chaweng Lake, offering spectacular panoramic views over the island, including a great perspective on the airport runway. Time it right and you'll get to see planes roaring up and off into the glorious blue skies. Look for the turning up the hill off Chaweng Lake Rd, which you can climb on foot or by scooter.
