This roadside rock formation has gone through various Chinese names over the years – Virgin Rock, Maiden Rock, Couple Rock, Torch Rock – all reflecting the changing taboos of how to sensitively address its perceived resemblance to feminine anatomy. The Tao, however, call it To-jimavonot, meaning Reed Bundle.
