Village Historique Val Jalbert

A ghost town that was inhabited from 1901 until a few years after the pulp mill closed in 1927. There's a trolleybus with running commentary from one of the zealous, costume-wearing guides, and a pleasant restaurant (set meal adult/child $49/22) in the old mill by the dramatic waterfall. This peaceful spot also has a campground (sites $30 to $50) and cabins ($80).
