This long-running event birthed the "performance poetry" genre, and it’s still going strong every Sunday night at the Green Mill. Founder Marc Smith continues to host the rollicking event. Watch shaky first-timers take the mic from 7pm to 8pm; a featured guest raps verse afterward, and the slam competition begins in earnest at 9pm. Get your snapping fingers ready.
