It's no wonder that locals compare it to the Taj Mahal: Ipoh's train station is a harmonious Moorish and Victorian architectural masterpiece, framed by broad arches and capped with a broad white dome. Completed in 1917 this is Ipoh's most recognisable landmark and a favourite spot for photographers (and selfie snappers).
