Temple O, along with Temple A, is closer to the sea than Selinunte's other temples. These two are also Selinunte's most recent temples, dating back between 490 and 480 BC. Both are virtually identical in style and size, and it's been suggested that they might have been dedicated to the twins Castor and Pollux.
