There are wonderful harbour views from the grounds of Strickland House (1856), which are now a public park. It sits above sweet little Milk Beach. Built as 'Carrara', a private home, in the 1850s, this elegant building with filigree balconies later became a convalescent home. It's closed to the public, though sometimes opens during Heritage Week in April.
