From the Langdon Cliffs visitor center, follow the stony path east along the clifftops for a bracing 2-mile walk to the stout Victorian South Foreland Lighthouse. This was the first lighthouse to be powered by electricity, and was the site of the first international radio transmissions, in 1898.
