The cable-car ride up the slopes of Mt Ngongotaha is only a teaser for the thrills on offer at the top. Most popular is the luge (one/three/five rides $16/32/43), which shoots along three different tracks. For even speedier antics, ride the 150km/h Sky Swing (adult/child $101/84), the Zoom Zipline ($105/94) or the Skyline Rotorua Mountain Bike Park.
The summit also offers the Stratosfare restaurant (lunch/dinner $41/60), the Volcanic Hills Winery and stargazing sessions (with gondola $97/51). Note the Sky Swing and Zipline prices include the gondola and five luge rides. A baffling array of combination tickets is available.
