Sleepy San Buenaventura sits across the Río Beni from Rurrenabaque, watching all the busy goings-on, but content with its own slower pace. The Centro Cultural Tacana has a handicrafts store on the southwest side of the plaza and celebrates the Tacana people's cosmovision (world view). The official Sernap office for Parque Nacional Madidi is also here, near the market.
