Zipping over the river to Roosevelt Island via the four-minute aerial tram – basically a large cable car – is a trip in itself and worth it for the stunning view of the East Side of Manhattan framed by the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge. As of 2022, payment is still by MetroCard only; OMNY has not yet been added.
