Red Cloud Heritage Center

This well-curated art museum has traditional and contemporary works and a craft shop with locally made artisan goods. Haunting photos taken after the Wounded Knee massacre show the frozen bodies of the dead with their expressions of shock locked in place. It's 4 miles north of Pine Ridge on Hwy 18 at the Red Cloud Indian School.
