Ranch at Death Valley

Tailor-made for families, this rambling resort consists of 224 rooms with patios or balconies in one- and two-story buildings that flank lawns and lanes. Upgrades have resulted in a welcoming Spanish Colonial town square with a general store, a buffet restaurant and a saloon bar. The grounds also encompass a playground, a spring-fed swimming pool, tennis courts, a golf course and a small museum.

The daily resort fee is $22 per room.
