She pops out of a dressing room fully costumed to talk about the troupe's demanding rehearsal and performance schedule. Fans of glitz and kitsch will thrill to see the precision dancers in the annual Christmas Spectacular, still kicking since 1933.
For concerts, it's a sumptuous setting, but the size of the place (and the comfy seats) can make for a sedate night. That said, arena-fillers like Dolly Parton play here in relative intimacy.
