This lofty L-shaped landmass, about 4 miles south of Tortola, is the BVI’s fifth-largest island and home to the luxurious Peter Island Resort (ravaged by the 2017 hurricanes but in line to reopen). The island remains lush and wild for the most part. There are five pristine beaches, plus excellent snorkeling sites and hiking paths.
