Also known as the Parakramabahu Vihara, Pabulu Vihara is a typical dagoba from the period of Parakramabahu I. This brick stupa is the third-largest dagoba in Polonnaruwa, and is set in a woodland clearing. It was built on the orders of Queen Rupavali, the wife of Parakramabahu I and gets its name from the beads (pabulu) found nearby.
