Old Mission Santa Ínes

The 19th of 21 California missions was founded by Franciscan friars in 1804 and remains an active parish. A self-guided tour takes you through a small, dated museum, into the restored church, and through the pretty gardens to the cemetery. Of special note are the painting of archangel Raphael in the museum and the brightly hued Chapel of the Madonnas.
