This small, lovingly put together museum tells the story of intrepid Icelanders who settled an unlikely part of Canada in 1875 after fleeing hardships in their native land. Farming implements, formal family portraits and household objects set the scene. There's tourist information, too. On the beach overlooking the lake, the huge Viking statue reinforces the town's Icelandic heritage.
