The Museum of South Texas History covers transborder history with interactive multimedia exhibits that take visitors through frontier ranch houses and on board the steamboats that once plied the Rio Grande. The museum is housed partially in the 1910 Hidalgo County Courthouse in Edinburg, 7 miles north of McAllen.
