Prior to WWII there were 9000 Jews living in and around Płock. Most were killed by the Nazi Germans. Among their legacies is this small synagogue building that is now a museum tracing the history of this once vibrant community. This part of town was the heart of the Jewish ghetto before it was liquidated in 1941.
