Poorly presented, slightly grubby museum on the south side of Parque José Martí that proffers a microcosm of Cienfuegos' history including a few indigenous artifacts. Other random exhibits include frilly furnishings of refined 19th-century French-Cuban society, all of which could do with a more regular appointment with the duster. The once grand upstairs rooms were undergoing restoration at last visit.
