This museum explores the natural environs of the Dominican Republic, with the massive jaw of a sperm whale welcoming visitors at the door. Old-fashioned and fusty exhibits include rock collections, butterfly exhibits, and a stuffed, endemic bird display. Children might find the planetarium, where a 35mm film on the planets is shown, of interest. A guide is included with the entrance fee.
