Museo Nacional de Café

This absorbing museum features large, glossy, printed displays in Spanish and English on the roots of modern coffee production in the region, as well as antique coffee-processing machinery. Particularly interesting are the panels on the hardy immigrants who set up the first plantations in the region. Well worth a visit before any trip into the surrounding countryside.

The friendly staff here can also help organize visits to nearby coffee farms.
