Don't miss Cafayate's large, modern Museo de la Vid y El Vino (museodelavidyelvino.gov.ar), where thorough displays in English and Spanish describe the history of winemaking in the region. The highlight is the evocative exhibition covering the life of the vines in Valles Calchaquíes through a series of poems and immersive visual displays. Allow around 40 minutes at the museum.
