Museo Antropológico

Near the Güemes Monument at the foot of Cerro San Bernardo, the Museo Antropológico (mas.gob.ar), Salta's anthropology museum, has well laid-out exhibits featuring ceramics from Tastil ruins (the remains of a pre-Inca city in northwestern Salta) and a collection of striking Santamariano urns, as well as displays covering the ethnography of Argentina's indigenous populations. Signage is in Spanish and English. Allow around 40 minutes to look around. It's open Tuesday to Sunday.
