A visit to the small folk museum provides some perspective and context for the desert lifestyle. It has a collection of regional costumes, a mock nomad tent and an section explaining the tattoos worn by local women. There’s also information on camel husbandry and a section on desert plants. It’s worth a visit, although explanatory text is in Arabic and French, and the opening hours are serving suggestions only.
