The town boasts plenty of impressive Victorian-era buildings, but Maryborough Railway Station leaves them all for dead. Built in 1892, the inordinately large station, complete with clock tower, was described by Mark Twain as "a train station with a town attached." Still very much operational, today it houses the Railway Cafe & Tracks Bar and the Museum of Australian History & Art Gallery.
