The Marvin Braude Bicycle Trail parallels the sand for most of the 22 miles between Will Rogers State Beach on the north end of Santa Monica and Torrance County Beach in the south.
On weekday mornings you might have the trail mostly to yourself, while weekends can get jammed with riders and skaters and you may have to swerve to avoid pedestrians, lollygaggers, surfers and stray volleyballs in the "bike only" lanes.
