Kilmartin House Museum

This museum, in Kilmartin village, is a fascinating interpretive center that provides a context for the ancient monuments you can go on to explore, alongside displays of artifacts recovered from various sites. A major redevelopment of the museum is underway, and it's due to reopen in 2023. Meanwhile, it's still the best place to head for first, as an outdoors display gives information about all the sites to visit in the surrounding valley. There's a takeaway cafe too.
