Isla Caja de Muertos

The name for this island off shore from Ponce translates as "coffin island" – at one point it was supposedly thought that its silhouette resembled a casket. The island makes a pleasant day trip from bustling Ponce, and there is good snorkeling plus a lighthouse ruin. Bring a picnic as there is nothing here when you arrive.
