One of Écija's finest church towers soars above the 18th-century Iglesia de Santa María, just off the central Plaza de España. Inspired by Seville's famous Giralda, the slim red-brick structure features some fine ornamental tiling. Also of note is the church's imposing baroque entrance and an internal cloister which now houses a small museum (€1) displaying a collection of ancient archaeological artefacts.
