Since 2014, Salt River’s Hope Distillery has produced small-batch, craft gins – the first licensed Cape Town distillery of its kind. You can visit the long-standing distillery Monday through Friday, though gin aficionados interested in a tasting should reach out to book an appointment in advance. There’s also a cocktail lounge, so you can try Hope’s gins – which include a London Dry Gin, Hope Mediterranean Gin, and Hope African Botanical Gin – in your preferred medium. Not interested in gin? Hope also crafts its own vodka, agave and rum, appealing to all taste buds.
